The Guild of Aviation Artists was formed in 1971 and is recognised throughout the world for the promotion of aviation art. The paintings on display in the Art Gallery have been specially selected to demonstrate the variety and scope of members’ work. They represent 100 years of the Royal Air Force in its centenary year. The paintings on display are all for sale and the RAF Museum receives a commission from sales.

The fast-paced, foot-tapping event of the year is back - due to extreme popularity. The Rotary Club of Shrewsbury Darwin is joining forces with local Shrewsbury-based charity Village Water for their annual Spring Ceilidh. There’ll be delicious real ale, lots of wild dancing and live music courtesy of the ever-popular Ceilidh band, The Melomanics Duo, expect lots of laughs and fabulous sound from the cheeky twosome. Village Water are an international water charity working in Zambia and Mozambique to support communities with safe water, sanitation and hygiene education. Ticket can be purched online or by phone.

This brand new conference will see youth and education experts join forces to inspire the next generation. Open to all people of all ages, the day will look at ways to engage young people in aviation and engineering whether it be as a hobby or a career. Most people have heard about STEM and this conference will take it to the next level and of how it can be used in the workplace. The conference will include aviation and education experts, aviation organisations, funding advisers, training advisers and special guests.
